The special safety container is designed for storage and transport of lithium batteries and AKU cells up to 5kg. The safety box has a non-flammable lining and two non-flammable cushions to prevent unwanted movement of the transported batteries. For easy handling, the box has two transport handles, through which transport in vertical and horizontal position is possible. If storage or transport of a larger number of lithium batteries is required, the boxes can be stacked and connected by a swivel lock. The lid of the box is closed with two buckles.

The box is made of special durable plastic which is impact resistant.

The safety cushion is made of non-flammable materials vermiculite and fibreglass. Vermiculite is an insulating material that absorbs liquids and is suitable as a filler for lithium battery boxes. In the event of a leak in the electrolyte of a lithium cell, the liquid is immediately absorbed. Vermiculite is electrically non-conductive, non-explosive, non-volatile and non-flammable. Its temperature resistance is more than 1000°C. The glass fibre is resistant to alkalis and is non-flammable and temperature resistant.

For transport and storage, the box can be used with ADR marking for new and inactive P903 batteries, for disposal P909, or defective P908.
