PBZ control - autonomous smoke and CO fire alarm

Autonomous fire alarms, so-called smoke and CO detectors, are fire safety devices for fire alarm. The operation of fire safety equipment is carried out in accordance with the normative requirements and the manufacturer's accompanying documentation, or in accordance with certified project documentation or more detailed documentation.

Checking of the operability of the fire safety equipment and thus also of the autonomous fire alarm system is carried out in accordance with Decree of the Ministry of the Interior No 246/2001 Coll. on fire prevention, as amended, to the extent and in the manner specified by the legal regulations, normative requirements, the accompanying documentation of its manufacturer , and at leastonce a year, unless shorter periods are stipulated by the manufacturer, verified project documentation or more detailed documentation or fire hazard assessment. After the inspection, a document on the inspection of the operational status of the fire safety equipment shall be issued, which must contain at least the information prescribed by the Decree.

Since 2008, the new Decree No. 23/2008 Coll. (Decree on technical conditions of fire protection of buildings), which obliges owners of newly approvednew houses and buildings intended for housing must acquire a fire extinguisher and an autonomous smoke detector.
