Fluorine-free ABF foam

Fluorine-free foam extinguishers are suitable for extinguishing Class A, B and F fires. They are mainly used for oil and grease extinguishing. The extinguishing agent is composed of special additives whose chemical reaction with the oil forms a protective film which prevents the access of oxygen. These devices are used mainly in kitchens, restaurants and other catering establishments, etc. They contain a water filling with an environmentally friendly additive.

WHAT CLASSES OF FIRE ARE FOAM EXTINGUISHERS DESIGNED FOR?
ABF foam extinguishers are designed to extinguish the following classes of fire:

Class A - solid or organic materials such as wood, coal, paper, textiles or plastics.
Class B - flammable liquids such as gasoline, petroleum oil, paint, or diesel
Class F - indicates frying oils and fats. E.g. vegetable, sunflower, olive, butter and lard.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF ABF FOAM FIRE EXTINGUISHERS?
Foam fire extinguishers are usually manufactured with different cartridge capacities to suit different needs and applications. The extinguishers are also manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures, typically ranging from 0°C - +60°C, allowing them to be used in a variety of climatic conditions.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RATING OF A FIRE EXTINGUISHER?
The extinguishing capability, or rating, is represented on the extinguisher by a combination of numbers and letters (e.g. 27The numbers indicate the size of the standard fire to be extinguished and the letters indicate the class of each fire. Thus, in the example given, 27A 233B 75F is the extinguishing power of 27 for fire class A and 233 for fire class B. Fire Class A has a total of 8 different levels for firefighting performance and Class B has a total of 9. The letter F indicates the value of how many litres of burning oil can be extinguished in the kitchen.
