FR COATING - FIRE PROTECTION COATING
Protecta® FR Coating is an ablative sealing coating designed to strengthen, seal and protect mineral fibres from fire. It is based on a durable polymer system with inert fillers, non-halogenated flame retardants and a preservative against microbial contamination.

The coating applied to mineral fibres is classified for all types of construction with or without penetrations. It is suitable for most surfaces including concrete, brick, masonry, steel, wood, gypsum, glass, plastic and most non-porous surfaces.

MAIN USES
Protecta® FR Coating is designed to be spray applied directly to mineral fibres. Once cured, the coating produces a high quality flexible white surface. During installation of the mineral fibers, the sealer then reduces delamination and increases surface stability for adhesive and fixative application.

Permanent flexibility - adapts to material movements during fire and minor movements of the structure in which the product is used

Can be used in unlimited lengths in walls up to 1200 mm high and in floors up to 120 mm wide
Can be applied in plasterboard walls without frames around openings
Halogen-free and with added fungicides
Resists water and frost after the insulation and coating have fully cured

SOUNDPROOFING RATING
Rw 55 dB - Protecta® FR Coating 1 mm WFT on both sides of a minimum 50 mm thick stone wool with a density of at least 160 kg/m3

FIRE RATING
Up to 180 minutes, depending on application
