FR COLLAR
The Protecta® FR Collar consists of a two-part coated, circular steel shell, designedfor fitting around plastic pipes (PVC-U, PVC-C, PE, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, ABS, SAN+PVC); bundles of plastic pipes with or without cables; bundles of cables. Cuffs contain safe and simple installation elements.

The cuff contains a graphite-based material that reacts to heat; in the event of a fire, it will foam and fill the hole created by the molten plastic through the penetration. It is installed on the outside surface of the wall or floor on one or both sides.

MAIN USES
Protecta® FR Collar is used to restore the fire resistance of flexible and masonry wall or floor structures where penetrations run through these structures.

Cuffs are available in two different heights for different fire ratings to maximise cost effectiveness
Smaller pipes can be fitted into larger cuffs, which is advantageous for pipes that are installed at an angle or where the opening around the pipe is too large

Has no detrimental effects on uPVC pipes such as BlazeMaster, see evidence of mechanical testing
