Pressure caps
Pressure caps are mainly used in firefighting technology and are part of hydrant equipment. To prevent unwanted leakage of water or other liquids, these caps are installed at the inlets and outlets of hydrants or other pressure systems.
HOW ARE PRESSURE CAPS USED?
The pressure cap is made to be very easy to install and can be easily removed. Once fitted, the pressure cap forms a solid closure that is able to withstand the pressure in the system, ensuring that it can operate safely without difficulty. Pressure caps are commonly used on overhead and underground hydrants.
WHAT MATERIAL ARE PRESSURE CAPS MADE OF?
Pressure caps are made of different materials. The most common are aluminium, plastic, etc. These materials are durable and long-lasting, resisting pressure and possible corrosion where the hydrants are installed.
