LITHIUM BATTERY FIRE BLANKET - SIZE S

A new range of high performance fire blankets that are multi-purpose and specifically designed for the lithium-ion battery market. The blankets are able to withstand extremely high temperatures in an oxidizing atmosphere for long periods of time, while being robust enough to provide a degree of protection against potential debris in a battery fire.

The blankets are made from fire-resistant technical fabrics based on silica glass fibre that are resistant to the highest temperatures.

Added to these fibres is protection against flame deflection as well as abrasion resistance through various patented surface coatings. The flame retardant glass fabric coated with mineral vermiculite dispersion is overlaid with a protective silicone coating. In-house testing was completed on exposed lithium-ion batteries up to 840 Wh.

The base fabric is fully oxidized and will not ignite. When the fabric is exposed to temperatures above the specified operating temperature for extended periods of time, it will exhibit localized degradation and become brittle.
