Regular training, inspections and repairs of fire extinguishers are essential to ensure the safety of people and property. Inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers

Regular maintenance and inspection of fire extinguishers is essential to ensure that they are able to perform their essential role in the event of a fire. Based on the Ministry of the Interior's Decree 246/2001, fire extinguishers should be checked once a year, but independing on the specific environmental conditions where they are located, this inspection may be carried out in a shorter period. In addition to this inspection, the extinguishing medium in the extinguisher must be replaced at least once every 3 years for water and foam extinguishers or every 5 years for other extinguishers, depending on the type of extinguisher. It is not possible to carry out the periodic test at the customer's place of business. This procedure is time-consuming and requires quality workshop equipment. Our workshop is certified and meets the requirements of ISO 11602-2:2020 for the inspection, maintenance and periodic testing of fire extinguishers in the manner and to the extent specified in this standard.

The inspection is carried out by a service technician who has many years of experience and is equipped with quality diagnostic tools. The technician shall first inspect the apparatus visually and then check the functionality, pressure and extinguishing agent. After the inspection, a Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Repair Certificate is issued by the technician indicating the condition, location and serial number of the extinguisher. Upon completion of the inspection, the service technician shall affix an inspection shield to each extinguishertag indicating the date of the next inspection, the pressure test, the serial number of the extinguisher, and the name and number of the technician.

If the extinguisher has reached the prescribed service life or is in a condition where it can no longer be repaired, we will scrap and environmentally dispose of the extinguisher in accordance with applicable laws.

Our service technicians are regularly trained and demonstrate their knowledge of the Ministry of Interior Decree No. 246/2001 Coll. as amended, and successfully pass tests in accordance with the fire protection standard ČSN ISO 11602-2:2002 Annex A, prescribed for authorized persons servicing portable and mobile fire extinguishers. The testing is carried out under the auspices of the Engineering Testing Institute.

Repair of fire extinguishers

Employee training

Your employees should be trained regularly on fire extinguisher use and evacuation procedures.
