Inspection of PBZ - flaps and seals

Fire dampers, fire dampers and seals and, where appropriate, systems and elements to increase the fire resistance of building structures or reducing the flammability of building materials (e.g. fire coatings) are fire safety devices to limit the spread of fire. The operation of fire safety equipment shall be carried out in accordance with the normative requirements and the manufacturer's accompanying documentation, or, where appropriate, in accordance with certified design documentation or more detailed documentation.

Fire stoppers, dampers or coatings can be found in every building. They are part of the building's fire safety equipment, which is designed as part of the building's fire safety design.

A fire damper is a fire stopper on an air duct made so that, on an impulse (e.g. mechanical, thermal, electrical) the damper blade closes the duct and prevents the spread of flames, heat and smoke. It is made of non-combustible material and provides fire resistance.

The fire seals prevent the spread of fire and smoke, thus limiting possible damage in the event of a fire to a minimum. The seals mainly fill cable, ceiling and other penetrations and joints in buildings.

Fireproof coatings are essential protection for any property owner today. Quality fire safety measures can mitigate the effects of fire damage. These fire resistant coatings are used to increase the fire resistance of wooden and metal structures.

Checking the operability of fire safety equipment and therefore fire dampers, fire dampers and seals and, where appropriate, systems and components ensureto increase the fire resistance of building structures or reduce the flammability of building materials (e.g. fire coatings) are carried out in accordance with MV Decree No.246/2001 Coll. on fire prevention, as amended, to the extent and in the manner specified by the legal regulations, normative requirements, accompanying documentation of its manufacturer, at leastonce a year, unless shorter periods are stipulated by the manufacturer, the certified project documentation or more detailed documentation or the fire risk assessment. After the inspection, a document on the inspection of the operational status of the fire safety equipment shall be issued, which must contain at least the information prescribed by the Decree.

Our inspection technicians are professionally trained and hold the relevant authorisations to carry out these inspections.

In addition to regular annual inspections, we can also offer you the installation of these fire seals. We primarily work with Protecta brand materials. This is a long established brand from the UK that we have very good experience with.
