What is this set for?

This set is designed to extinguish fires of lithium-ion batteries that are part of, for example, electric scooters, bicycles, electric cars, scooters, forklifts, etc.

Lithium battery fires - due to the high temperatures during combustion, re-ignition often occurs, therefore it is very difficult to extinguish lithium batteries with conventional fire extinguishers. The set includes a UNIEX F9 BETA WLI foam extinguisher, a LITH EX 9 L lithium battery extinguisher, dielectric insulating gloves, a full-face mask and a combination filter.

What are the individual items in the set used for?

TheUNIEX F9 BETA WLI foam extinguisher is filled with water and foam extinguishing agent BETA EFFEM and can be used to extinguish burning Lithium batteries up to 4500 Wh. The extinguisher is suitable for extinguishing fire classes A, B, D, F + LI.

TheLITH EX 9 L extinguisher contains vermiculite extinguishing agent and is designed for extinguishing Lithium battery fires in the initial phase. The AVD extinguishing agent itself contains the mineral vermiculite, which forms a crust on the extinguished object during extinguishing, thus preventing the passage of air and cooling the burning battery. Dielectric insulating gloves are used to protect against dangerous voltages. The gloves are made of high quality natural latex and protect against touch voltages up to 1000 V. More product information - HERE

During a lithium-ion battery fire, toxic gases can escape and produce dense and harmful smoke. With the combination filter and a quality full face mask made of silicone, your respiratory system will be reliably protected against organic, inorganic and acid gases and fumes, ammonia and its class 2 derivatives. The mask complies with protection class 3 and has a unified thread according to EN. Wearing the mask is very comfortable thanks to the 6-point clamping system which distributes the pressure evenly.
